    Termites!!!

The students from both Mrs. Wells and Ms. Watton's classes teamed up last week to study termites.  Teams of students studied the body structure of an immature termite, determined which were soldiers and which were workers, and determined how well the termites followed a "blue line."

    Retro Bill Assembly

This past Monday, September 24th, Pleasant Valley School was visited by Retro Bill, a children's motivational speaker who spreads humor and advice to K-12 students about having a positive attitude, staying safe, anti-bullying and other school-related topics.

    Pleasant Valley School and District

Pleasant Valley School, nestled in the beautiful vineyard covered hills of San Miguel has been creating successful learners and members of the community since 1884.  Students in kindergarten through sixth grade attend this wonderful school, and despite its small size, the school still provides the equivalent 21st Century education that is available in the much larger districts.

The school community prides itself on its long-standing tradition of strong parent and community involvement. Yearly events, such as the Harvest Festival, Color Run, and Thanksgiving Feast add to the sense of community involvement in the school.

The faculty and staff of PVS are highly qualified, caring professionals who promote a warm, safe, and family-oriented atmosphere.  They value pride in education and life-long learning. The small class sizes and high staff to student ratios mean that students can receive individual help for their educational and other needs. One-to-one technology and a dedicated science STEM lab are just two of the great offerings that this tiny but mighty school has to offer.

Pleasant Valley School is a little out of the way but not too hard to find. It's just a short 15-minute drive NE of Paso Robles. Stop by and check us out!
